Valerie Landau is Director of Assessment at Samuel Merritt University. She has over 20 years of experience designing effective solutions for improving education. Her current work revolves around innovative approaches to integrate data into meaningful narratives that facilitate improvement.
As Associate Professor at California State University, Monterey Bay, she co-taught courses about and with Douglas Engelbart. She earned C.A.S from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education's Technology, Innovation, and Education Program. She is author of “Developing an Effective Online Course” and co-author of “The Engelbart Hypothesis: Dialogs with Douglas Engelbart.”
She recently published "How Douglas Engelbart Invented the Future" in Smithsonian Magazine.
Valerie studied and worked in Cuba and leads high-level research delegations to Cuba
